Today newly constructed Adabar 33/11 KV and Manda 33/11 KV GIS substations of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) have been commissioned. With the commissioning of two newly constructed substations, DPDC's capacity for uninterrupted and quality power distribution has increased.

Md. Habibur Rahman, BPAA, Senior Secretary, Power Department and Chairman, DPDC Board of Directors was present as the chief guest in the commissioning ceremony of Adabar 33/11 KV and Manda 33/11 KV GIS substations under the project titled "Extension and Strengthening of Power Distribution System in the Areas Under DPDC".

On October 14, 2016, the project agreement was executed in the presence of the Honorable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and the Honorable President of China Xi Jinping. In continuation of which the project entitled "Extension and strengthening of power distribution system in the area under DPDC" was taken up. TBEA Company Limited of China is implementing this project as the contractor. The project is expected to be completed by 2026.

Chief Guest Md. Habibur Rahman, BPAA, in his speech praised the activities of DPDC in the field of power management and urged everyone to strive to complete the project within the stipulated time while maintaining the quality standards.

Vice President of TBEA Company Limited Jackie Chen Dong (Jackie Chengdon) was present as a special guest in the event under the chairmanship of DPDC Managing Director Engineer Bikas Dewan. Abdullah Noman, Executive Director (ICT & Procurement) and Project Director of DPDC delivered welcome speech at the event.

DPDC's executive director, chief engineer and senior officials and all officials related to the project were present in the event.
