Training for law enforcement agencies on the upcoming local elections has begun in Cox’s Bazar. The training aims to maintain law and order, ensure voter security, and create a fair, peaceful and neutral environment during the election.
The training session was held on Wednesday, September 16, at the Police Auditorium Hall in Cox’s Bazar. Members of different law enforcement agencies participated in the training.
Faisal Alam, Election Officer of Cox’s Bazar Sadar, conducted the training. He provided instructions on various law-and-order issues, the duties and responsibilities of law enforcement personnel, maintaining public order, ensuring security, and enforcing the election code of conduct.
During the training, participants were instructed on how to ensure security at polling centres, maintain discipline, facilitate voters in casting their ballots freely and safely, and take prompt and appropriate action in the event of any unexpected situation.
The trainer also emphasized the importance of maintaining neutrality and avoiding any form of bias during the election. He urged law enforcement personnel to strictly follow the rules and instructions of the Election Commission to prevent unnecessary incidents and ensure a peaceful voting environment.
The training also clarified the roles and responsibilities of law enforcement personnel before, during and after the election.
Faisal Alam said that necessary measures have been taken to maintain normal law-and-order conditions in Cox’s Bazar during the upcoming local elections so that voters can cast their ballots safely, freely and without fear.
