Former Indian cricket team captain and ex-president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly, along with his wife Dona Ganguly, paid courtest call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Friday morning.
At that time, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon was present there.
Both Sourav and Sheikh Hasina held talks about an hour. Hasina also wanted to know why Sourav was had to leave the Indian Cricket Board.
The Bangladesh prime minister went Kolkata at the invitation of Sourav in 2019. Sheikh Hasina went there to witness pink ball test match at Eden Gardens. This time, the former Indian captain came to Dhaka at the invitation of Bangladesh prime minister.
The former Team India captain and his wife arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from London on Thursday morning. Then at 3:00pm, he inaugurated the Mayor Cup of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) at Westin Hotel in the capital. At 7:30pm, Sourav joined a programme of ICICI Bank at Intercontinental Hotel in Dhaka.
