Former star couple Shakib Khan and Apu Biswas got government grant for their films. They have been given the grant for producing separate movies.
Directed by Bandhan Biswas, Apu Biswas will get Tk 65 lakh for the film ‘Laal Shari’ while Shakib will also receive same amount for Himel Ashraf directorial film ‘Maya’.
Apart form their films, more 19 movies will get government grant for the fiscal year 2021-22.
The producer names were announced for the grant in a notification on Wednesday. The amount of the money allocated for them was disclosed in the circular.
The government has allocated Tk11,52,00000 for the films as a grant. Director-cum-producer Md Khorshedul Alam Khandokar received grant Tk 60 lakh for the film based on the liberation war ‘ Joy Banglar Dhoni’ while
Rafikul Alam, director-cum-producer, got Tk 60 for the liberation war related film ‘Ekattor Korotole Chinno Matha’.
