Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has condoled the death of Deputy Speaker Advocate Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah.

In a message, the premier said Fazle Rabbi Miah was engaged in anti-Ayub movement and anti-62 education commission movement since his student life.

Fazle Rabbi Miah took part in the Liberation War in 1971 from sector-11. He will be remembered for his immense contribution to parliamentary democracy, she added.    

Sheikh Hasina prayed for the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Advocate Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah, MP of Gaibandha-5, breathed his last in New York while undergoing treatment there. He was 76.
