Veteran politician Pankaj Bhattacharya's body will be taken to Central Shaheed Minar at 4pm on Tuesday for the public to pay last tributes.
There the body will be kept till 6pm. From Shaheed Minar, Pankaj Bhattacharya's body will be taken to Postogola Crematorium in Dhaka to fulfill the last rituals.
Pankaj Bhattacharya, one of the founders of Sammilita Samajik Andolan, breathed his last early hours on Monday at Health and Hope hospital in the capital. He has been suffering from old age ailments, including breathing complications. He had been on life support since Saturday (April 22) after his condition deteriorated.
The veteran politician was born at Noapara village of Raozan upazila in Chattogram district in 1939. He had been active in democratic political movement since his school days. He had been an active participant in all democratic movements of the country during the 60s leading to the Liberation War in 1971.
