Denying the allegation of 14 houses in the US, WASA Managing Director Taqseem A Khan has said that not 14, only one house is bought in his wife's name.
"The news which was published in a national daily about 14 houses of me in the US, is totally a lie. There is no truth to this report. Of the 14 houses, only one is bought in my wife's name which is an apartment. The rest are not ours."
Taqseem A Khan told these to media on Tuesdayat WASA bhaban in Karwan Bazar.
He said, "I, my wife and my son, all are citizens of the US. My wife and son are well-established there. My wife is a government service holder there. It is not so difficult to buy a house there. That one house is in my wife's name. It is not a house, an apartment."
"We are on the list of tenants of five houses as my family was staying there. Anyone can find out about this matter in search."
According to the report published on the national daily about Taqseem, who has been WASA's MD for 13 years, has bought 14 residences in the US.
