Opposition BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has suddenly met US Ambassador Peter Haas.
Fakhrul went to the Gulshan residence of Ambassador Haas at about 1:10pm today (Tuesday).
BNP sources said Fakhrul came out of Peter Haas's residence after 2:30pm. Details could not be known in this regard further.
Earlier, Ambassador Haas held a meeting at the residence of Prime Minister's Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman in the morning. Apart from Law Minister Anisul Huq, a director general of the Foreign Ministry was present at the meeting, it is learnt.
On Sunday morning, a Jatiya Party delegation led by party chairman Ghulam Mohammad Quader met Ambassador Haas at his Gulshan residence.
