Cyber units have already started working over leaking information of Bangladeshi citizens, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday.
"NID service yet not under our hands, this process is still in the hands of the Election Commission. There are some legal complications. After completing those, it will come to our Home Ministry soon. Since then we can work fully."
The minister said these to journalists today after attending a meeting over security issue ahead of National Mourning Day.
He said, "We have to see what has happened and how much has been leaked. If we see that someone is involved in the incident, in that case, we will definitely take action as per the law. None will be sparred. The whole matter will be investigated and then take necessary measures. Stern action will be taken against those who have leaked personal data of the citizens by hacking the National Identity (NID) database."
"We are waiting to know the actual matter. Our cyber units have started working to know the specific information."
