Law Minister Anisul Huq has expressed hope that the formation of the commission to identify the conspirators involved in the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family on August 15, 1975 will be finalized by the end of this year.
The minister was speaking at a workshop at InterContinental Dhaka on Saturday.
An outline had been prepared for the commission and it would be sent to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for recommendations and approval, he said.
“Covid-19 is not going away. You also know about the current global situation. Some financial decisions are having to be made as well. That is why we have not been able to hold a discussion with the policymakers on the outline of the commission. I hope we will be able to have a meeting in a few days. We may be able to launch the commission by this year,” Anisul said.
