Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Brigadier General (Retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam, Defence Adviser to the Prime Minister. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting took place on Sunday (June 28) at the office of the Defence Adviser at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment. A three-member delegation from the Pakistan High Commission also attended the meeting.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides discussed the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan, as well as various issues of mutual interest. In particular, they held detailed discussions on enhancing military cooperation, exchanging experiences, and expanding training activities between the two countries.
The courtesy call is expected to further strengthen and expand defence cooperation and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan in the future.
