The 716th session of the Bangabandhu Political Philosophy Seminar was held on Thursday evening, July 20, 2023. The seminar was presided over by Janipop Founder Chairman Prof. Dr. Major Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, BNCCO, and organized by Janipop as a Zoom Webinar. The chief guest at the event was Shyamal Datta, the General Secretary of Jatiya Press Club and editor of Daily Bhorer newspaper. The guest of honor was the professor from Jahangirnagar University, Zebounnessa, along with UN Disability Rights Champion and Honorary Professor Abdus Sattar Dulal, and eminent women entrepreneur Amatun Noor Shili.

Special guests at the seminar included Kazi Farzana Yasmin, a PhD researcher from Malaysia, and Fatima Tuz Zohra, a PhD researcher from Nilphamari Jaldhaka. Prashant Kumar Sarkar, a PhD researcher from Bangabandhu Science and Technology University, Gopalganj, served as the main discussant.

In his opening speech, Dr. Kalimullah paid tribute to the memory of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He emphasized that in 1975, there was an attempt not just to kill Bangabandhu but also to silence his ideology.

Shyamal Dutt expressed that Bangabandhu's ideals encompassed patriotism, selflessness, honesty, constant concern for the people, and infinite love for the nation.

Professor Dr. Jebounnessa added that Bangabandhu's ideals involved fair treatment and consideration for all. If these ideals were followed, political hypocrisy and personal gains through politics could be eliminated.

Abdus Sattar Dulal stated that true respect for Bangabandhu could only be shown through the practice of his ideals.

Kazi Farzana Yasmin highlighted that Bangabandhu dreamt of a corruption-free Bangladesh.

Prashant Kumar Sarkar emphasized that Bangabandhu's ideology embodied patriotism and living an honest life.

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, the Director of Bangabandhu Commission and America's Millennium TV Country, and the Editor of Daily Presswatch.

Among others, notable attendees at the seminar were Shafiul Bashar, an engineer working in Dhaka University, Dr. Bayezida Farzana from Brahmanbaria, and Dr. Mahbubul Haque from Rajshahi.
